1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Petch, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, do not use Petch.
2. Account Registration & Security
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current information.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
Eligibility & Age Requirement
Petch is intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the platform. By using Petch, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.
3. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post, upload, or share unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringing content.
- Impersonate others, provide false information, or create fake pet profiles.
- Use Petch for unsolicited advertising, spam, or scam activity.
- Attempt to bypass security, scrape data, reverse engineer, or interfere with the app or other users’ experiences.
4. Modifications & Termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Petch at any time. We may also suspend or terminate your access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users, or misused the platform. Where required by law, we will provide notice.
5. Intellectual Property
Petch and all related content, designs, software, and trademarks are owned or licensed by Petch, LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of Petch.
6. Third-Party Links
Petch may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not endorse and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
7. Disclaimer
Petch is provided “as-is” and “as-available.” We make no warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that you will find matches, playdates, or events through the platform.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Petch, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of Petch, including offline interactions arranged through the platform.
Community Conduct
Users must remain respectful during in-person meetups and in group chats. Content involving abuse, hate speech, pet harm, or false pet profiles is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in suspension or permanent bans. Any offline meetups or activities are at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for your conduct and your pet’s conduct, including compliance with local laws. Petch is not responsible for injuries, conflicts, or disease transmission that occur during offline activities organized through the platform.
Use of Online Veterinary Services
Any online veterinary or health-related information is provided for informational purposes only and does not replace professional in-person diagnosis or treatment. In case of emergency, contact a licensed veterinarian immediately. Petch assumes no responsibility for health outcomes resulting from reliance on any online veterinary content.
Use of Mochi AI
Content generated by Mochi AI is for reference only and does not constitute professional medical, veterinary, training, or behavioral advice. Responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You should use discretion and seek professional guidance when appropriate. Petch is not liable for any consequences resulting from reliance on Mochi AI outputs.
Petch Plus Subscription
Petch offers an optional paid subscription called Petch Plus that unlocks premium features including unlimited Mochi AI chat, deeper PBPC personality insights, smarter matching, and the ability to see who liked your profile.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings in the App Store.
- No refund will be provided for the unused portion of a subscription period. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
- Petch reserves the right to modify, add, or remove Petch Plus features or adjust pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
9. Dispute Resolution
- Informal Resolution: Parties agree to first attempt to resolve disputes in good faith.
- Jurisdiction: Unless prohibited by law, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, USA. For users in Mainland China, disputes may also be resolved in a competent court in Mainland China where required by local law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and any disputes are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local law requires otherwise.
11. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Petch after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If changes are material, we may provide notice in-app or via email.
